Dave Godwin PIFA is a freelance archaeologist and a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists. Originally from Southern England Dave moved to the Isle of Lewis with his wife Caroline following a decade of happy holidays in Scotland exploring the Highlands & Islands. Being resident on the west side of Lewis, Dave can take you to less well known sites and is able to offer Tours all year round.
The Islands are very photogenic and Dave is always happy to assist with photographic hints and tips and willing to lend you a tripod when you are out and about on tour.

Dave recommends to maximise your opportunity to see wildlife on a tour that you don't wear bright clothes or strong perfume/aftershave. For your own comfort Dave recommends stout waterproof footwear and weatherproof coats and trousers. Some areas are uneven with steep gradients and can be very wet and boggy so a walking stick is recommended. | |
